We must remember who we truly are – loved, accepted and never alone.
Maybe you’ve felt distant from God lately, or wondered if He still sees you. This is a gentle reminder that you are not an orphan. You are a beloved child of the Most High God.
Take a few quiet moments today to rest in that truth today.
“The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit. And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!””
Romans 8:14-16 (TPT)
After my last post, my beautiful friend Julie sent me this scripture.
What a perfect reminder that we are not orphans — we are fully accepted and cherished by the most loving Father God.
This verse is overflowing with love, comfort, and belonging. It speaks of a God who welcomes us, holds us close, and calls us His own. The Bible truly is our source of unchanging truth – the kind that settles our hearts and reminds us who we really are. These are the truths we must learn to receive and speak over ourselves, because they carry peace, healing, and joy.
So why do we struggle to believe we have such a loving Father? I think it’s often because our earthly experiences tell us a different story. Many of us have faced disappointment or pain in our families – moments of rejection, humiliation, or even deep hurt. And beyond that, in our wider circles – friendships, workplaces, communities – we may have been betrayed, overlooked, or even “cancelled.” It’s easy, then, to project those wounds onto God.
But our Father is not like that. He is love, truth, kindness, peace, and joy. All good things flow from Him. He is constant – the same yesterday, today, and forever. He doesn’t come and go depending on how we perform. He never abandons us. Even when we can’t feel His presence, He is there – steady and faithful through the good and the bad.
We may never hear a booming voice from heaven saying, “This is my beloved daughter, in whom I am well pleased.” But God still finds ways to whisper His love. Sometimes He sends reminders through gentle signs, through Scripture, or through people – like my friend Julie – who speak words of comfort right when we need them.
When those moments come, let’s pause and let them sink deep. Let’s remember: we are loved, seen, and never alone.
I hope this message has reminded you today that you are deeply loved – not forgotten, not overlooked, but cherished by your heavenly Father.
