Sometimes the most powerful testimony we have isn’t what we say—it’s how we live.

A Testimony That Speaks Without Words
The evidence of a transformed life is a powerful, unspoken testimony.
How we live, what we say, our character, and our actions all leave a lasting imprint on those around us, especially our children and grandchildren.
Our lives are always speaking.
We can live in a way that draws people toward Jesus…
Or in a way that unintentionally pushes them away.
What’s Overflowing From Your Heart?
Scripture reminds us:
“…For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
Luke 6:45 (NKJV)
Our words are a window into our hearts.
So it’s worth asking ourselves gently:
- What is overflowing from my heart right now?
- Do my words reflect peace, joy, love, kindness, and patience?
- Or do they reveal frustration, criticism, or negativity?
This is not about condemnation, it’s about awareness and invitation.
The Power of Our Words
The tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 (NIV)
Our words carry incredible power.
We can build others up, or tear them down.
We can speak hope, or spread discouragement.
Think back over the past week:
- Were your words kind and life-giving?
- Did you show empathy and understanding?
- When others weren’t present, did you honour them, or drift into gossip?
These are gentle questions that help us grow, not reasons to feel discouraged.
Called to Love Like Jesus
Jesus made it beautifully simple:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:30–31 (NIV)
This is the foundation of our testimony.
And yes, we all struggle with this at times.
But God, in His grace, invites us to begin again.
To soften our hearts.
To choose love.
To speak life.
A Life That Points to Jesus
When we allow God to transform our hearts, our words begin to change.
And when our words change, our relationships begin to shift.
Over time, our lives become a living testimony. One that quietly points others toward Jesus.
Not through perfection…
But through authenticity, humility, and love.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your transforming power in my life.
Search my heart and help me to become more like You.
Teach me to speak words that bring life, encouragement, and love.
Help me to reflect Your heart in my conversations, my actions, and my relationships.
May my life be a testimony that draws others closer to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
